FilterPure Helps Bring Clean Water Into Haiti
Haiti
FilterPure is shipping their water filters to Haiti as fast as they can be produced.
Photo courtesy of memberSince last year (see our story, Providing Safe Water: A Sustainable Solution), Filter Pure Inc. has expanded production in response to the urgent need for potable drinking water in Haiti. With an existing factory in the Dominican Republic and another under construction in Port-au-Prince prior to the January 12 catastrophe, Filter Pure has spent the past two weeks working feverishly to produce, transport and deliver our ceramic water filters to those in desperate need of clean water.
Currently our Dominican Republic production facility is running full bore. We can produce two loads per week and are moving to increase production of filters as I type this message. The facility sited for the Haitian factory was damaged by the earthquake, so our team loaded a truck with filters and departed today for Port-au-Prince. Once there, they will deliver filters, assess the damages to our factory and begin repairs. We expect to begin filter production in Port-au-Prince within a few weeks. In the meantime, our Dominican Republic facility has been productive and we are shipping filters as fast as they are produced. We want to transition to Haitian production without interfering with what’s working.
Filter Pure ceramic filters are made utilizing a simple, yet ingenious technology, where clay, sawdust, and colloidal silver are made into a highly effective filtration device. The Filter Pure method is completely sustainable (the filter is affordable and lasts five years) environmentally sound (omitting the need for boiling water thus slowing deforestation) and 100 percent natural (made from clay and there are no chemicals added to the filter or water). This method is taught to the locals, which provides local employment and further strengthens our local channels of distribution. With the improved health that our filters provide, adults are able to better work and children are able better able to study. For these reasons, Filter Pure will make both an immediate and positive long-lasting impact on the Haitian people.
Given the urgent need of the victims in Haiti, we seek your support once again to bring awareness to the critical importance of providing safe water to the people with the greatest need.

We hope that all the Haitians accept the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and also beleive in him every day of their lives, and do not serve any false idol. Also they have to give Thanks to all the people and countries who help out a great lot, because if wasn't for them how would they have survive. They also have to get a bible and change will come.
