as an Army mom, let me just tell you how much this group means to both the soldiers AND their families! My son's in Afghanistan, and to get the packages from the Cookie Platoon is a HUGE morale booster to all the guys - and, yes, they do share them! These are homemade cookies, baked, packed and shipped with love. A big thank you to the Cookie Platoon for all they do!

I've been a member for over a year now. Debbie Schaefer (the organizer) is a woman with a heart of gold and has more energy than anyone else I know. She works tirelessly coordinating the volunteers, collecting cookies, packing and shipping. I hope everyone who reads this visits the site to get a glimpse of the magic she works...and the joy she brings to so many. Three cheers for the Connecticut Cookie Platoon!!!!!

I have enjoyed being a member of this group for over a year now. I have even had my 2 children, ages 5 and 4, helping me bake cookies for our very deserving troops. Whenever my kids see a soldier, they ask if that is one of the ones who received our cookies. It makes me proud to be a part of such a great organization and helping to bring a little sunshine and some smiles to the brave men and women serving here and abroad.

It is a great cause.To bring a touch of home to those who are so far away.

My son went to basic training with Debbie's son so I have known her for over three years now......

Her work for our troops and the help of her community is the best! The soldiers LOVE the cookies! A touch of home for them! My son is in Afghanistan and him and his buddies love them!

This is a great group that is making a difference in the lives of our troops no matter where they are! As an Army Mom I am proud to know about this group and what they do. Kudos to all involved!

I also "know" Debbie because of a wonderful online group....Sgt. Mom's....my son is one of the lucky ones who is able to recieve some "love" from the States while he is "Over There". Keep up the good work Debbie!! Thanks to ALL who donate all their time with the Ct. Cookie Platoon!!!!

This is what is important to ME!Hello there, I work with a group of Soldiers that are currently in Iraq. I got your email by one of our Platoon Leaders. She mentioned your mission and I would love it if you would be able to support a few of our guys that do not get any packages from people. I have about 80 Soldiers but about 30 of them do not ever get any mail. Let me know if this is possible to give you the list that I have.
