Oprah’s Angel Network

While we sincerely wish we could assist all those who request our help, we do not accept unsolicited grant proposals for Angel Network funding. Organizations can submit letters of inquiry. However, due to the volume of letters we receive, we do not guarantee that all letters of inquiry will receive a response.

If you want to send us a letter of inquiry, first carefully read all of the following information.

Who We Award Grants To

Organizations

Within the United States, we concentrate on awarding grants to charitable organizations that qualify as tax-exempt under 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. International organizations that receive our funding are charitable in nature as well. Organizations that receive funding from the Angel Network also take part in activities that fall into one of our four program areas: Education, Leadership, Basic Rights or Communities.

Individuals

In general, we do not award grants or provide funding to individuals. For example, we do not give money to individual students for scholarships, or to individuals to pay bills. Instead, we provide funds to institutions offering scholarships and to organizations that help individuals directly.

Letter of Inquiry

To submit a letter of inquiry, send the following information on your charitable organization’s letterhead:

• A brief history of the organization
• A brief explanation of the proposed project, including the amount requested, timeline of use, population served and goals and objectives of the program
• The estimated budget for the project
• Qualifications of those involved in the project
• Organization’s tax status, including most up-to-date IRS letter of tax determination
• Contact information

We’re also interested in hearing your organization’s stories of success. Give us examples of how you’ve unlocked the potential of the population you serve.

Letters of inquiry should be four or fewer pages.

Oprah’s Angel Network will make its best efforts to mail a written response to all organizations that submit a letter of inquiry. Please refrain from contacting us for status updates.

After You Submit Your Letter of Inquiry

The Angel Network reviews letters of inquiry throughout the year and will contact you if you are selected to move forward in the process. As noted above, while we make our best effort to respond to all letters of inquiry that are submitted, due to the volume of inquiries we receive, we do not guarantee that all letters will receive a response.
