To fund teachers' salaries, books and teacher training as provided through READ Educational Trust. The Chris Hani School educates children from the Joe Slavo Informal Settlement Camp in Cape Town. The school also operates a soup kitchen, offers adult literacy courses and hosts a visiting nurse to provide basic healthcare.
