Grants

Awarding grants to organizations working in the areas of education, leadership, basic rights and communities is our primary way of getting closer to our goal of unlocking the potential of people around the world.

Organizations We Support

Within the United States, we concentrate on charitable organizations that qualify as tax-exempt under the 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. International organizations must also be charitable in nature. The organization’s activities must also fall into one of our funding areas.

We receive many requests for help and sincerely wish we could assist everyone. If we’re unable to help, continue your search for funding on GuideStar or the Foundation Center.

Determination Process

Our determination process generally follows these steps:

  1. An organization submits a letter of inquiry that follows our guidelines.
  2. We review the letter and determine whether to move forward.
  3. Only if invited, organizations complete a formal proposal.
  4. Solicited proposals are thoughtfully reviewed throughout the year. Organizations are contacted when funding has been approved or declined.
